After having booked great successes, The Police broke up in the mid-1980s, but this year the rumours about a reunion finally became true! It is unarguable that Sting has got a very successful solo career going. His initial success however was with The Police, of whom he was the lead singer and main composer. With their reggae influenced music The Police quickly rose to fame and they are now considered as one of the greatest bands of all time.
